Lake District Engagement Shoot

Lake District Engagement Shoot, Wast Water - https://www.joshuadavidphotography.co.uk/

I am so excited to finally share photos from this stunning Engagement Shoot in the Lake District!

It was my first, and I had never been to Wast Water in the Lake District before this. However I lived in Lancaster at the time and always thought it would be a gorgeous place to take photos! After showing some photos to Sarah & Wanderson, they were blown away and planned to merge their shoot with a weekend away with their family, and so drove all the way up from London! I also didn’t drive back then and so they were kind enough to meet me at the nearest train station and give me a lift.

We clicked straight away and had an awesome journey up to the lake before we started taking photos. I always enjoy getting to know my couples and building a relationship and friendship with them before the shoot. This way, the couple can also feel more relaxed in front of the camera and the photos always turn out more natural!

After taking photos at the bottom of the lake, we thought it would be a shame to come all this way and not climb the adjacent mountain overlooking the lake; and with clear skies, we also hoped we would catch the sunset! So, we had lunch together at Wasdale Head Inn, and then began climbing the mountain! Little did we know, the route that we took was ridiculously steep and we took quite a few breaks on the way up, but with such a view, we could hardly complain! When we reached the top, the views were breath-taking and undoubtedly worth the climb!

This will always be one of my favourite engagement shoots…
